Video Department
The video department features a Blue Stage for electronic matting of backgrounds. Peripheral studio equipment includes an announcer booth and computer teleprompter. Technimedia uses the Matrox Digisuite Windows NT workstation, a real time, non-linear serial digital editing system. This system is capable of digital composting, paint, titling, 3-D animation, recording and audio sweetening. The powerful software accompanying the Digisuite includes: Insync Speed Razor, Inscriber CG, Boris Digital FX, Adobe Photoshop, and Sound Forge. Technimedia uses JVC DigitalS 4:2:2 component digital format for all video acquisition. The DigitalS format assures the highest resolution and color detail, even over multiple generations. This format is the standard in high end video production. Field production includes choice of two cameras: one Panasonic EZ-1 camera; a JVC DigitalS Broadcast camera. Field recording is all digital. A selection of field microphones includes two Sony C-74 Shotgun Microphones, one Sennheiser Long-Shot microphone, 2 Sony ECM-15 Lavalieres, 1 Sampson wireless lavaliere, a PL-80 for hand-held work, and numerous high quality studio radio microphones that can be used in the field including the AKG Tube, AKG 414, (2) AKG c12's, Electrovoice RE20, (2) AKG c1000, RCA 440, Shure 57's and 58's. Lighting is accomplished with up to eight portable lighting units capable of up to 1,000 watts each. |
